• Selection is based on performance in a two-stage examination conducted by the State/UT government. The examination assesses scholastic aptitude and mental ability.

Scholarship Amount: 

• Selected students receive a scholarship of INR 12,000 per annum from classes 9 to 12, payable directly into their bank accounts.

How to Prepare: 

Thoroughly revise the syllabus for classes 7 and 8, focusing on subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and English. Solve previous years' question papers and practice mock tests to improve speed and accuracy.

Regarding income limit and caste certificate and Aadhaar card:

• Only the student whose annual income of the candidate's guardian is not more than 3,50,000/- as determined for the NMMS examination will be eligible for the scholarship.
• Attested copy of parent's annual income statement and caste certificate must be uploaded along with student's application form. (Upload specimen/certificate of official authorized by Govt.)
• In this examination, the annual income certificate of the student's guardian and the copy of the competent authority authorized by the Govt. In the previous examinations, the state examination board had received representations that parents were facing difficulties in obtaining caste and income certificates. In view of that, the following changes are requested to be considered.

Income certificate:-

•  Income certificate from Mamlatdar Shri, Taluka Development Officer Shri, Talati Kram Mantri Shri, Chief Officer Shri and anyone else will be accepted.

Caste Certificate:-

•  Bonafide registered (with attendance number and photograph) from Mamlatdar, Taluka Development Officer or School Principal will be accepted. In which the sub-caste of the student has to be mentioned.

Special Note:

• At the time of registration on the NSP portal to get the scholarship of the students who have passed the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination, a certificate from a competent authority authorized by the Government regarding income and caste is mandatory.

Aadhaar Card :

•  At the time of registration on NSP portal it is mandatory that the name of the student is as per Aadhaar card. So, while filling this form, the name of the student has to be filled in the same way as the name in the Aadhaar card and a copy of the Aadhaar card has to be uploaded.
• The principal of the school has to verify that the student falls within the prescribed income limit and in the prescribed caste category.

Exam Fee :

1. General category, EWS and OBC. The examination fee for category students will be Rs.70/-.
2. Ph.Sc. And ST. Examination fee for category students will be Rs.50/-.
3. Service charge has to be paid separately.
4. Fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
