गुजरात के शिक्षा राज्य मंत्री प्रफुल पानसेरीयाने इसकी घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि इस फैसले से गरीब मध्यम वर्ग के परिवारों के लिए बड़ी राहत होगी. आरटीई प्रवेश प्रक्रिया अभी चल रही है, वहीं सरकार ने आय सीमा बढ़ाने के निर्णय के साथ ही ऑनलाइन आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि भी बढ़ा दी है. अभिभावक अब 15 अप्रैल तक ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं

गुजरात सरकार ने आरटीई यानी शिक्षा का अधिकार अधिनियम के तहत दाखिले को लेकर एक महत्वपूर्ण फैसला लिया है. अभी तक ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में आरटीई प्रवेश के लिए आय सीमा 1.20 लाख रुपये और शहरी क्षेत्रों में 1.50 लाख रुपये थी. इसे बढ़ाकर अब 6 लाख रुपये प्रति वर्ष करने का निर्णय लिया गया है. यानी अब 6 लाख रुपये तक की आय वाले माता-पिता अपने बच्चों के लिए आवेदन कर सकेंगे.
